Missing My Lil Brown Boy On Mother's Day

I went up to your place, my son, and looked all about at folks leaving flowers and balloons, paying tribute to their mothers...but I was paying tribute to the tender loving, yet totally extreme memories of my only beloved son.
Missing you is the hardest thing I've ever lived through in my life...Holding the heart and hand of a little baby....and letting go of the hand of a handsome young man in the prime of his life. My heart will never heal from the pain of losing you, my son...I will always remember how much joy and happiness you brought to our family, what a pleasure your presence brought to our home...what a wonderful brother, best friend, and protector of your sister that you were...she told us that she didn't just lose her brother, but she lost her best friend.
We spent the time together today....just Charlotte, your dad and I the three of us together...and how much we missed your happy, radiant smile...it's just not the same with you gone and never will be again.
Charlotte misses you so much too...she doesn't have another brother or sister to turn to...you were always there for her.
I love you Sweet William, with all the love a Mother's Heart can hold...Forever and ever to eternity and back again.
xoxo to you in heaven, my only beloved son.
Forever 19
Forever Young,
Forever In Our Hearts
Forever Will

  1. My heart ached for you many times today.I thought of you time and time again. I prayed for you, while sitting in church with my 5 year old birthday boy sitting on my lap. My gratitude deep for moments such as these. I was reminded not to hold him or his sister to tightly for they don't belong to me.Much Love to you on this Bitter Sweet Mother's Day. Love that the Lord led you to find that card from your daughter. I am going to give my kids more GUM from now on! ;)

  2. Dear Kimberyln,
Thank you for your thoughts and prayes...I, too, remember the days of sitting in church juggling my two children from lap to pew, trying to keep them quiet and entertained at the same time. I've got many pictures drawn for me from them during "preach time" as the called it!
Awww and the joys of gum for the little ones! I just made sure it was sugar free to protect their little teeth, but everyone once in a while I'd sneak them a piece of Juicy Fruit! ha-ha....I'm sure you know the reason for that!
My children have been and always will be the best and biggest blessing that God ever gave to me - and hubby too, but that's a different kind of blessing. I think my fault was holding too tightly and not wanting to let William go when it was his time...because it surely wasn't in my "Things To Do" to let him go...God's still working on my about that one.
Love them, hug and kiss them, take as many photos/vidoes as you can throughout their lives...not just when their little, because you never know when someday, that might be all you have left.
Thank you for taking the time, not just to read, but leave a comment too...I appreciate it so very much!
